Minor areas of lingering pain in the body may be a sign of stagnant or imbalanced energy. If you’re experiencing this, be sure to note it on your client form so we can give it extra attention during your Reiki session. To support energy flow, I always incorporate grounding at the end of any session. A simple daily one-minute grounding practice can also make a big difference - I’d be happy to show you how!

Why is grounding so important?

Our environment carries a strong positive charge, largely due to the sun’s solar radiation. In contrast, the earth is rich in negatively charged electrons, which we naturally absorb when walking barefoot or using other grounding methods. It's like absorbing antioxidants through your feet! Maintaining a balance between both positive and negative charges is essential for overall wellbeing. However, modern lifestyles - especially rubber-soled shoes, which act as insulators - often prevent us from staying grounded. When we lack this negative charge, imbalances can arise in the body. Grounding helps reduce inflammation, supports organ function and enhances cellular health. Just like air and sunshine, grounding is vital.
